I’m always mildly amused when someone says to me “isn’t email dying?’. Yes social media and IM are now widely adopted but when it comes to business email you only need to check your inbox to see email usage is actually on the rise.
Social media has removed a great amount of ‘consumer’ email traffic. IM has reduced “Pass the stapler…” type internal email communications.
